ROBERT EMERSON CURTIS 1899-1996

Educated in UK & Chile, with studies in San Francisco &
Chicago. An official war artist, he is best known for his
Industrial, architectural & Sydney Harbour Bridge
subjects.
JAMES FLETT 1906-1986
Born in Victoria and studied at the National Gallery School Melbourne. He left art in the 1940’s resuming in 1960’s. He was fascinated with pirates for which he is best known.
FRIEDENSON

Thomas Friedenson 1879- 1931
Born Leeds, Yorkshire 10th July, 1879 and died in Cannes Frances on 4th June, 1931. Painter and etcher arrived in Australia in 1921. His studio was in Sydney and while he was in Australia he was inspired by the Australian bush. Represented National Gallery.
