The Banded Hare-wallaby (or munning), Lagostrophus fasciatus, is an endangered mammal native to south-western Australia. Once common across southern Western Australia, Banded Hare-wallabies are now extinct on the mainland due to loss of habitat through agriculture, competition for food with introduced livestock and rabbits, and predation from introduced feral animals. They are now found on Bernier and Dorre Islands in Shark Bay.. Source Wikipedia
